While footy, beer and pie don't add up to the complete Australian experience, it sure sets the tone; laid back, chilled out, easy going. Now thats a life we could all get used to.... the only question being which city to live in?

i'm all for melbourne as well except that even theres too cold for me! spent 3 years there doing uni and thoroughly love the city but don't think i could take living there long term. maybe somewhere like brisbane or gold coast might be better for me but i haven't been to either city. can anyone reading whos lived in melbourne and brisbane give me a comparison?

Tasmania is just too cold :P

Definitely Melbourne / Brisbane I reckon. Sydney's a bit too corporate and Perth's too boring. And unless you like flies in summer and sand all year round, you wouldn't live in the rest of the places.

Tasmania might be nice, if i didn't need to feel constantly connected to the electronic world.
