Hi everyone,

I'm desperately trying to find out what show was on sometime between 11th and 16th December 2006, on Discovery Channel (Asia).

The documentary was about a father, wife, and their 3 daughters living out in the mountains, possibly in China.

He played an instrument, and got terribly upset because 'God' had given him 3 daughters and no son. He lamented the wisdom he had learnt, and why his father taught him to play this instrument..

One of the daughters, the favourite one (and who goes to a school with 2 other classmates) is walking the goats but loses one at the end of the day. The neighbours find it eating their crop so visit the father, furious, and chop the animal's head off.

I was simply amazed by this documentary, the remoteness of the whole story, village and people. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name, which is why I've posted this in the forum.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
