It is mind blowing what a work superb you had taken in this three segment ,how you had done this fabulous work.

OK, so I watched the Battleground: Art of War Napoleon, and in the first 30 seconds there were at least a half dozen glaring factual errors. I have to say, while it looks nice, and might be mildly entertaining, but sheesh.
1. At Waterloo, Wellesley was not the FUTURE duke of Wellington, he had been the duke for 6 years. (granted the title following Talavera) 2. Napoleon did NOT tell his troops that his goal was to conquer europe. In fact he immediately asked for peace, at the current french borders. The ALLIES declared war. 3. There were NO WHERE NEAR 100,000 cavalry and 250,000 infantry on the waterloo battlefield. Closer to 140,000 total of all types, between both armies. The arrival of the Prussians and remaining french added maybe another 50-60,000. 4. Napoleon did not have anything close to 30,000 more men than Wellington. . . more like 5,000 more. 5. oh why bother. It was a ridiculous episode. How they can produce something so ridiculous now, with so much already written about it is beyond me. |
