I am sorry but I find Smash Lab unbearable. It is a frightening dumbing down of this great channel. I sincerely hope that it will not set a trend for future programming. I am sure that the mythbusters bandwagon is a lucrative one but this was a failed attempt not to ever be repeated.

The experiments are vague and inconclusive. The team is unconvincing with each member seeming to add nothing to the 'experiments' than perhaps a touch of eye-candy. The final nail in the coffin for me was when the 'scientist' of the team observed, "Woah, it just got way hotter!"

Please don't waste an hour of your daily scheduling on this garbage when you have so much more to offer.

I agree. For me the worst part of the show is that the four hosts are terribly BORING. I cannot imagine how discovery networks let these people on air! The narrator has the same brittish accent as the 1 in mythbusters but doesn't sound merely as funny without the funny voices. The experiments are not what make a show. Mythbusters have AWESOME hosts, even if they did stupid experiements (which they don't, mayb cuz they are not boring people in rl) the show wouldda been better because of their characters. Seriously, my gf pointed out that it's wierd that the "scientist" is her age, roughly 22. She's not even pretty enough to make the show worth it. If the hosts tried to act more naturaly instead of being awkwardly stage-frightened the show would be better because NO ONE is as boring in real life as their characters...Seriously take it off or atleast make it better. Better experiments would do good to it too. You r spending money on high speed cams, but cant pay smn enough to think of some funny experiements to use them on? Take it off or make it better.Frowner

Completely agree. I saw that episode about protecting a house with a quite ingenious material, and was totally flabbergasted and disappointed with the design they came up with. I'm no designer, by the way, but the flaws were evident. The team is led by a female "scientist" who arrives at very wise conclusions, such as something will "get way hotter" when exposed to flames, and gets so excited by a vague experiment to proclaim "The house is going down". That is the kind of show that leaves nothing to be learned and it is just a waste of time and money.
