In Nepal and the Philippines, people are scared of Bamboo since it attract's poisonous snakes, I am not sure if it's a myth but I guess it's true. I really liked Bamboo, and I think it's a beautiful plant for landscapes and privacy screening.

We should have a Mythbuster episode about Bamboo though, and I saw people reinforce concrete with Bamboo, it should compare there too the strength of steel reinforce concrete vs. bamboo reinforced concrete.

well I've never been heard it before,
but I read something a bit different,
I belive it's from a fantasy story

People say if you use a bamboo stick
to hit a snake, the snake will not dare
to move because the bamboo stick was
it's uncle, and for some unknown reason
it become a bamboo.

But anyway, I think it's a story.
to remind the young people to respect
older people.....hee heee
