i can binge drink without difficulty,.. however
1. Which alcoholic drinks do not go together but instead cause nausea and vomitting, despite a stomach with food? Frowner I drink all sorts of alcohol-- whisky, wine, gin, tequilas and beers but i'm not sure which are safe to drink together. Sometimes the first-hand experiment works out, sometimes it doesn't but i'm tired of using myself as a guinea pig Big Grin .

As a new drinker, i find that i can drink 11 glasses of vodka and keep to vodka a night, or 11 glasses of bourbon or 5 beers, a whole bottle of champagne i won't get drink,.. but if i even mix a beer and a vodka and a bourbon, (not even 3 drinks), i get dizzy and want to throw up. This is contrary to what i found on: http://alcoholstudies.rutgers.edu/onlinefacts/od.html

2. What causes the vomitting? Razzer

3. Is it possible to prevent becoming nauseous and yet still mix the drinks?

A couple of tips, learned from a PhD of Chem;

A) "Drinking brown will make you a clown; Drinking clear will keep you a dear"

For whatever reason - brown liquors lead to stupidity (Like, walking 12 miles home from a bar or party with your pants tied around your neck like a "Yuppie sweater" ... ); Clear liquors have less likelyhood of making you act like "the idiot of the party".

B) You WILL pay for your liquor - either at the store, or the next day.

The higher-priced liquors are usually better made, with less contaminants left in. Those contaminants will contribute to the pain of the hangover. (BTW - Alcohol goes through 2 oxidation phases in the body - at the first one, it converts to something close to acetone (a plastic solvent), then, in second oxidation phase, close to formaldehyde (embalming fluid) - THAT is what is left in your body after a night of drinking).

Best ways to block hangovers are;
A) Before bed, drink as much water as you can, THEN, re-fill the glass. When you get up to urinate, drink more water.

B) A good multi-vitamin, and an aspirin/tylenol with the water helps to replace what is getting flushed out by all the drinking;

C) Don't drink so much - it serves no good purpose

As for nausea when mixing - that's the sign of an ametuer
