Just watched the Dragon: A Fantasy made Real..
At first, I was astounded to see a dragon was discovered. But later i realized that the program was just one big ala-Hollywood program joke! I am disappointed to this program where people like me search for factual-programes instead of your channel produced/played a very frustrating sketch! I am more confused after I watched the show, instead of DISCOVERing the truth. Clearly, you know we paid for your channel to have the true facts and straight to the letter quality programs. Like the national geographic. Not fancy hollywood type program. We don't need to be entertained. If you have HBO played the Dragon: A Fantasy made Real(Stupid), then it would be ok. If the facts were true about the dragon, you could at least deliver a descent program where in real scientists, paeleo, etc. analyzed the evidences if there is any. Especially the last scene where in ONE YEAR LATER.... zhezzeeee.... man. |

haha. you should get out more often. cos if it was real it should have been in the papers a looooong time ago. you probably have not seen the Blair Witch project; people learned alot about gullibility after seeing that one.
basically the story was only a way to insert theories of how dragons would have existed, and a nasty gimmick that worked pretty well. all i can say is: more features about Dragons, Discovery! ------------------------------------ //i'm always looking for nice, interesting ppl; so hit me up in msn chisaikame(at)hotmail(dot)com// |

yes some shows are fictional. The difference is that those shows are direct. Meaning, the show is clearly stating WHAT IFs... And most important of all... Scientists and professional researchers are contributing and are being interviewed to the details, if I could say believable pressumations and estimation. Those programmes are still structured and delivered how they should be. Unfortunately, the Dragon: A Fantasy Made Real is not one of them.

if you've watched dicovery channel enough, you'll know that they also air programs or short films that are fictional. like the show "extreme earth" where they feature 2080's earth conditions and "alien planet" that describes lifeforms from other planets. these are kind of shoes that feature "what could have been" and "what might have been. so you guys can't blame them if they air these kind of shows cause, admit it, they are entertaining! all i have to know is if "Dragons: A Fantasy made Real" is based on a fictional story or a factual one.

Yes I agree that dragon is such a mystery that almost all culture has their own description. And I am equality fascinated about them.
Yes I agree too that discovery channel deals with culture, etc etc... which makes it difficult to understand why this programme was aired. I still stand that the programme if it was directed and developement by BETTER collaborators, then it would had been a great programme. But alas, its not. It was handled poorly. The programme was almost holly-wood type, even worse. Worse actors, poor delivery, (But great effects which is besides the point). If the approach was more of a professional structure then it would had been a classic. If facts was collected then justified by scientist (heck even chinese monks), paleontologist or experts that will shed some clarity about dragons then it would be the best delivery. Not from actors, playing like James Bond. Get this straight, who funded this, you just wasted such a great topic. |
